Healing Philosophy

My Healing Philosophy is based on these 4 insights.

1

The source of pain is often different than the site of pain.

It may sound counter-intuitive, but we now know that knee pain can be linked to an issue in the back; hip pain and misalignment can be caused by an imbalance of energy in an organ; and unprocessed emotional trauma can store in the body and evolve into physical and emotional pain.

I’ve experienced these connections in my own healing journey, as well as in working with my clients. Understanding the role of fascia in the body has been pivotal.

2

Matter matters, but it’s not everything.

The human body is more than physical matter. We are electromagnetic beings animated by consciousness and love. My approach combines an energetic awareness of the body with a deep understanding of human anatomy and manual rehabilitative therapy. It’s here that I can sense subtle connections between matter and energy, and thus identify the (seemingly unrelated) source of my clients’ physical symptoms and mental or emotional stress.

3

The body is designed to heal itself.

The body performs an innumerable amount of functions to keep us alive and well—without us even having to think about it! It’s easy to forget the body’s intelligence when you are trying all sorts of therapeutic remedies. It’s through gentle, highly intentional touch that we can support the body in doing what it already knows how to do—Heal.

4

The quality of connection between client and practitioner is paramount.

Cultivating a connection with my clients based on trust, their individual needs, and a higher power is foundational in my practice. Not only does it feel better for both of us, it’s paramount to producing desired results. Consider this…

The body literally responds differently to the same medication depending on the quality of interaction you had with the doctor who prescribed it to you. Do you believe it? If the doctor shared emotional empathy, a genuine interest in your wellbeing, and developed your trust—you are likely to heal quicker.

Call it the placebo effect, or call it the power of love and intention.

Love heals. It just does.
